2025-2026

A medical mission project serving the Kibagabaga Hospital, a burgeoning district hospital (KDH) aiming to become a Level II Teaching Hospital 2 for medical students of the Adventist School of Medicine of East-Central Africa. We propose to explore the development of the following services in collaboration with the institution mentioned above, with a prior needs assessment. We look forward to a memorandum of understanding to further refine a strategic plan - Staff development - Capacity building - Staff training using standardized training tools (NRP, BLS, PALS, PFCCS) - Development of a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and a Pediatric Emergency Room. Establishment of a Pediatric Critical Care ‘Masters’ Degree program in the Department of Pediatrics in conjunction with ASOME
